Hmmm. Sometimes, it feels so boring and lonely out there when you have no special lover or spouse. You see people posting their partners, going on dates, getting engaged, and celebrating anniversaries. Meanwhile, you are wondering when it will be your turn.

Listen, you are not alone. And you are not forgotten.

The Bible says, β€œIt is not good that man should be alone.” – Genesis 2:18 (NKJV). God understands the value of companionship. It is okay to desire a spouse. It is okay to want someone to love, someone to talk to, someone to share your life with. Don’t pretend you don’t want it when you do.

But here is the question:Β Are you genuinely in love with this person, or are you just tired of being alone?

Loneliness can make you settle for what you would ordinarily reject. It can make you ignore red flags, compromise your convictions, and rush into a relationship simply because everyone around you seems to have someone.

Don’t let loneliness choose your spouse for you!

Even when all your friends are in relationships or seem to have forgotten you, remember that God hasn’t. Your life is not on hold because you are single. It is never too late to become who God has called you to be, but you must remain rooted in Him. Don’t give up on God.

When last did you pray about it? Abi, you think God doesn’t care about your love life? Pray about it. Fast about it if you feel led. Ask God for wisdom, discernment, and the right connections.

But don’t stop there. Go out and mix intentionally. Meet people. Build friendships. Put yourself in environments where you can connect with people who share your values. If you are looking for something, you must be intentional about it.

Faith without works is dead (James 2:17). You cannot keep praying for a spouse while refusing to take wise steps towards meeting people. At the same time, don’t let desperation drive you into the wrong relationship.

And please, stop measuring your life against other people’s timelines. Someone else’s wedding announcement is not proof that God has forgotten you. Their season is not your deadline.

God sees you. God cares about you. And your present loneliness does not have to determine your future.

Philippians 4:6-7 tells us not to be anxious about anything, but to bring our requests to God through prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving.

So, when that lonely feeling comes, don’t panic. Don’t settle. Don’t give up.

Pray. Grow. Meet people. Be discerning. Keep living.

You can desire marriage and still enjoy your life today. You can be hopeful without being desperate. You can wait without putting your life on hold.

Don’t marry just because you are tired of being single. Choose wisely. Your future is too important to be decided by a lonely moment.

Be at rest. God hasn’t forgotten you.
