If you are at the stage of choosing who to marry, this series is especially for you. Marriage is one of the most important
decisions you will ever make—it does not just affect your happiness, it affects your destiny, your purpose, and your future.
Many people have entered into relationships based on emotions, pressure, or appearance, and today, they are living with the
consequences.

But it does not have to be your story. In this series on Divine Direction, you will learn how God leads, how to
recognize His voice, and how to avoid costly mistakes in choosing a life partner.

My prayer for you is simple: You will not marry
wrong. You will not be deceived. God will guide you clearly into His perfect will for your life. Stay with me—this may be the
guidance that secures your future.

WHO QUALIFIES FOR DIVINE DIRECTION?

Romans 8:14 “For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, these are sons of God.” (NKJV)

If you truly desire God to lead you in choosing your life partner, then you must first ask yourself this question: Do I qualify to be
led by God?
Our anchor text makes it very clear that God leads His children, not strangers. It is not about religion, going to church, or knowing scriptures alone—it is about relationship.
To be led by God, you must be connected to Him, walking with Him, and sensitive to His Spirit.

Today, many people want God to guide them in marriage, but they are not living under His authority. Some only remember God
when they want to make a major decision. In a time like this, when pressures age, finances, and family expectations are intense,
many people rush into relationships without spiritual alignment.
But you cannot expect clear direction from God when your life is not aligned with Him

In Genesis 24:63–67, Isaac was a man of quiet communion. He went out to meditate in the field, and God directed the right
partner to him. His relationship with God positioned him for divine direction. Also, in Hosea 4:6, the Bible says, “My people are
destroyed for lack of knowledge.” Many enter wrong relationships because they lack spiritual discernment. And in 1 Samuel
3:9–10, Samuel learned to recognize God’s voice.

That sensitivity made him a man who could be led accurately by God.

When you qualify for divine direction:

  1. You hear God clearly concerning your relationship
  2. You avoid deception and emotional traps
  3. You gain confidence in your decision
  4. You walk into a marriage ordained by God.
  • John 10:27 “My sheep hear My voice, and I know them, and they follow Me.
  • Galatians 5:25 If we live in the Spirit, let us also walk in the Spirit.
  • Amos 3:3 Can two walk together, unless they are agreed?
  • Psalm 25:9 The humble He guides in justice, And the humble He teaches His way.
  • Isaiah 1:19 If you are willing and obedient, You shall eat the good of the land;

So, you need to strengthen your relationship with God if you want clarity in choosing your life partner.

What to Do (Step-by-Step)

  1. Ensure you have a genuine relationship with God—not just religion
  2. Spend time daily in prayer and fellowship with Him
  3. Study God’s Word to align your life with His standards
  4. Yield to the Holy Spirit—learn to obey His promptings
  5. Remove anything in your life that dulls your spiritual sensitivity
  6. Practice obedience in small things—this builds accuracy in bigger decisions

I charge you today, don’t just pray for direction—become the kind of person God can lead. If your life is noisy, distracted, and
disconnected from God, you will struggle to hear Him. Decide today, and say to yourself: “I will walk with God, I will follow
His voice, and I will not choose by emotions alone.”

Remember this: If you can’t follow God, you can’t be led by God. Qualify yourself—and your marital destiny will be secured.
Start today.

Prayer: Heavenly Father, please draw me closer to You. Make me Your true child and teach me to follow You.
Remove everything in my life that blocks Your voice. Make me sensitive to Your Spirit. Qualify me for Your divine
direction, especially in choosing my life partner. This, I ask, in Jesus’ name, Amen.
