You stop obsessing over every text. You stop performing. Something in you just… rests. Philippians 4:7 calls it a peace that goes beyond what your brain can explain. 2. The relationship draws you closer to God, not away
Be honest with yourself here. Since this person came into your life, are you praying more or less? Are you in the Word or distracted from it? The right person at the right time doesn’t compete with your relationship with God. They make you want to go deeper. If someone keeps pulling you away from who you’re becoming in Christ, that’s not God’s timing. That’s a test.
3. Your life circumstances are actually ready
Nobody arrives perfect. But there’s a difference between imperfect and unprepared. If you’re still in the middle of healing something you haven’t even acknowledged yet, a past heartbreak, a trust issue, a pattern you keep repeating, God might be asking you to let Him finish that work first. Not to punish you. Because He loves you too much to let you carry old wounds into something new.
The waiting is part of the story
God’s timing doesn’t feel like punishment when you understand what He’s doing. He’s not withholding love from you. He’s building you for it. The girl who deleted the app? She stopped seeing the wait as a sign something was wrong with her, and started seeing it as God clearing space for something real. That shift changes everything.
